he Federal Government has declared Tuesday, October 1, 2013 as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 53rd independence anniversary.
The Honourable Minister of Interior, Abba Moro made the declaration on behalf of Government on Monday in Abuja.
While congratulating all Nigerians at home and abroad, he urged them to build a more united and virile nation that would be the pride of all Nigerians wherever they live.
The Minister enjoined all Nigerians to use the holiday period to reflect on the giant strides made by government in the development of the country, especially under the transformation leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan.
He wishes all Nigerians a happy Independence holiday celebration.
