In its bid to provide affordable accommodation for civil servants in kogi state, a private firm, Saniif Property Nig LTD is set to partner with the kogi state government in the construction of housing estate for its workforce.
The marketing manager of the firm, Mr. Abdulrahman Dansebe disclosed this in a chat with newsmen in Lokoja, explained that the firm decided to partner with the state government in view of the fact that government cannot provide all the needs and wants of the people without the support of the private sector.
According to him, the management of the firm has carefully studied the transformation agenda of Governor Idris Wada led administration and the bill on Public Private Partnership [PPP] which was recently signed into law by the governor which had give room for the private sector to work with the government in achieving its objectives of providing the much needed dividend of democracy to the people of the state.
Dansebe added that top management of the firm have starting holding high level meeting with officials of the state ministry of land on how to acquire a large piece of land in the state capital where the workers estate will be built, adding that very soon the firm will commence the construction of the housing estate for the civil servants.
He explained that when the estate is completed the firm will allocate it to the beneficiaries on build-operate and transfer, noting that the moment the beneficiaries complete their payment the flat will be their own forever.
Similarly, the marketing manager added that the firm has entered into discussion with the authority of the federal university, Lokoja in its bid to construct its staff housing estate, adding that the firm can boost of experienced workers who are highly committed in the discharged of their duties.
