Football College Abuja beats Real Madrid in U19 Mladen Ramljak Cup finals

Football College Abuja broke records and made history today by defeating Real Madrid in the finals of U19 Mladen Ramljak tournament.

The Abuja football college had participated in the tournament three times – got bronze twice and trophy-less once. It is annual event, since 2003, organized by GNK Dinamo in the honour of their deceased legend – Mladen Ramljak.

The U-19 competition witnessed clubs like Maribor Fc, Dinamo Zagreb, Copenhagen Fc, Maccabi Haifa, Sarajevo, Real Madrid, Football College Abuja and Hadjuk Split of Croatia

Abdullahi Suleiman was named the “best player” and “highest goal scorer” of the tournament while Maribor keeper, Nino Irgoli, and Javier Harnandez, from Real Madrid, were named best goalkeeper and defender respectively.

Speaking on the success recorded by the soccer Academy , the college Administrator Mr KUmbi Titiloye praised the efforts and determination of both the players and coaches and charged them to keep up the spirit.
