Former OOU Vice Chancellor, Tunji Oyeneye Dies

The scholar, who was the pioneer Pro Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ijebu-ode, died December 2, at the age of 68 years. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Family sources confirmed to our correspondent that the former University don had been bedridden for cancer-related ailment before breathing his last on Wednesday. The deceased, according to family sources, returned to the country few months ago, where he had been undergoing treatment for the ailment.

He was said to have been on admission at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, where he finally gave up the ghost. The late professor was buried at his Ikangba, hometown in Odogbolu local government area of Ogun state.
