Former Senegal captain may make Dolphins debut

Former captain of Senegal’s U23 national team, Xavier Mendy may get his Dolphins debut in Ibadan on Sunday against Crown.
Dolphins are in Ibadan for the game and Mendy is part of the squad.
Mendy last played for ASFA Yennega in Burkina Faso where he won the League and Cup double and says he is in Port Harcourt to win the League.
“I always win wherever I go and Dolphins will not be different,” Mendy said.
“If I get to play in Ibadan, it will be the start of great things to come for Dolphins which I see as a great side, one that always wants to win.”
Mendy did not just play for Senegal’s U23 team from 2005- 2007, he also captained the team.
Other players who may make their debuts for the club in Ibadan against Crown are Victor Alegbe who signed from Wikki Tourists on a one year loan deal as well as Sarkin Bolaji, also from Wikki Tourists and Ebube Okpokwu from Elkanemi.
Other players in the travelling party to Ibadan are
Austin Brown, Sunday Rotimi, Chizoba Amaefule, Victor Ezuruike, Joseph Douhadji, Mendy Xavier, Emeka Atuloma, Chidiebere Okolie, NAzeem Abutreka, Hope Fiberesima, Victor Alegbe, Isiaka Olawale, Tijani Adamu, Emem Eduok, Bolaji, Ebube, Fred Okwara and Ifeanyi Egwim who got the equalizer against Heartland in Owerri.
Dolphins have just one point from one game played in the League this season.
