Frank Insists Only ‘Unbelievable’ Offer Will Take Toney From Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has made it clear Ivan Toney will only depart the club during the January transfer window if they receive an “unbelievable” offer for the striker.

Toney has been linked with a move to Arsenal, but is currently serving an eight-month betting ban. He is set to return on January 20.

Ahead of Brentford’s FA Cup tie against Wolves, Frank said Toney remains with the Bees beyond the winter window.

“He is a Brentford player, he is here, we miss a few offensive players, and I cannot see why we should sell him,” Frank told reporters.

When asked about what kind of offer it would take to sell Toney, the Brentford boss responded: “It is not for me to discuss, but if I could ever recommend one, it would need to be an unbelievable price, so he will stay here.”

Frank made his stance clear that Toney is not for sale barring an astronomical bid during the mid-season transfer period.
