Give Us Beach Soccer Team in Kogi : Ejor begs Gov Wada

The Head Coach of the Nigeria’s Beach Soccer National team, nicknamed Supersand Eagles, Adamu Audu has appealed to the Kogi state government to facilitate the setting-up and registration of a state beach soccer team before the proposed Beach Soccer League and participation in the CBN Beach Soccer Challenge Cup.

The Kogi born Beach Eagles coach fondly called “Ejor” noted that the state stands great chance of making good adventure considering
the overwhelming potential in human resources and coastal heritage as the Confluence state.

Coach Ejor believes with the overwhelming support of the Governor Idris Wada led government, Kogi can made national and international headlines by turning the grooming ground for Beach soccer stars.

According to Coach Ejor, the state team needs the government aid on constructing beach soccer pitch and participation in the CBN Challenge Cup.

SavidNews Nigeria would recall that the kogi state government hosted and launched the maiden edition of CAF/NFF Beach Soccer Course for Referees and Coaches which was held at the Confluence Beach Hotel in Lokoja on 26-27th April, 2013.

SavidNews Nigeria gathered that the upcoming CBN Challenge Cup is billed for 23 – 26th August, 2013 in Abuja while the Beach Soccer League kicks off later this year.

Kogi may be among the first state to participate in the tournament and national league, which will justify the present of National team technical crew dominated by Kogi indigenes including promoting the image of the state.
