Glo/CAF Awards: Izamoje urges CAF to Educate Coaches on Criteria
Chairman/CEO Brila Group, Larry Izamoje insists that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) should henceforth educate national team coaches and technical advisers on the essence of the Africa Footballer of the year award before casting their votes.
Speaking to brilafm.net, after the awards ceremony on Thursday night in Lagos, the ace broadcaster urged CAF on the need to now educate on the criteria used in the voting process.
“CAF must educate coaches, technical advisers what it really takes to vote because the award is called African footballer of the year and on its website, CAF stated that the award is for the player who as impacted African football the most”
“As such, it is not about what you do in the colours of your foreign clubsides but what you have helped Africa achieved.
“Africa had the nation’s cup and Mikel Obi helped Nigeria win it,” he added.
