GloNPFL: 10-man Enyimba Stuns Pillars to lift Super Cup
Ten-man Enyimba defeated champions Kano Pillars 2-0 to confirm their supremacy in the Charity Cup final on Thursday.
Enyimba, who were pipped at the post by Pillars to the Nigeria league championship this past season, took the lead in the 23rd minute through Ifeanyi Edeh at the Warri City Stadium.
Enyimba defender Ugwu Uwadiegwu was sent off in the 47th minute for a second booking.
Despite being a man short, Sibi Gwar then doubled Enyimba’s advantage in the 69th minute.
Both teams were handled by assistant coaches – Imama Amakapabo for Enyimba and Kabiru Baleria for Pillars.
