The Chief Coach of Dolphins FC, Hassan Abubakar is confident his Port-Harcourt side to cause a major damage in Kano Pillars bid to retain the league title this season when both side meets in a Glo Nigeria Professional League week-37 tie on Wednesday.
While commenting on how important the game means for Dolphins, Coach Hassan told SavidNews.com that his team is very much prepared for the encounter and desperate to pull a surprise as his side wants a maximum result from the game.
“The game is very crucial – we need the points as they (Kano Pillars) too – we are determined and desperate to pull a surprise as we hope to finish the season in a good position,” he said.
The former Wikki Tourist, JUTH coach while admitting no stranger to the Lokoja Confluence Stadium after three visits, said Dolphins is in good shape and psychologically fit to do battle with the league leaders and focused on leaving with the maximum points.
“We hope to carry the day – we are ready for them (Kano Pillars) and we mean it – the team has been training and the players responding to programme positively,” he added.
The Stanley Oguma led Technical crew will hope Dolphins consolidate on their current spot as they the season closes in on them despite comfortably on the log with 50 points from 36 matches on 9th position.
