GloNPFL: This Kano Pillars’ season again to retain title – Supporters
The Supporters Club of the Kano Pillars Football Club has expressed optimism that their side is bound to retaining the Glo Nigeria Professional Football League title this season.
Speaking to SavidNews.com, the delighted Chairman of the Kano Pillars Supporters Club, Bashiru Idris Haliru insisted that their Kano team is destined to win the title again after watched Kano Pillars squeezed past Enyimba at the Lokoja Confluence stadium.
The League leaders, Kano Pillars secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Enyimba in Lokoja after the week-31 rescheduled match with the heroics of substitute Manir Ubale who headed home an injury time winner on Tuesday to revive their title defence hopes.
The Kano Pillars leading supporter while hailing the impressive support of the fans insisted the current season is another opportunity for the Kano Pyramids to win the title back-to-back.
“We are happy, everything is working for Kano Pillars – I’m grateful to the supporters for keeping strong faith in the players – this is our season again as we are close to winning the title this season,” the Kano Pillars’ number-one supporter noted.
With three matches to go, Mallam Bashiru nicknamed “Jide” believes more support and motivation from the fans to players and management of Kano Pillars will ensure the title is won this season.
He however, appealed to Kano Pillars supporters in Lokoja to come out in mass to support them against Dolphins when they play their last home match.
“We appeal to our supporters in Lokoja to come out enmass to support us against Dolphins as the game will be our last home match,” Mallam Bashiru added.
