GloNPFL: We’ll shock Kano Pillars – Olawale
Dolphins FC midfielder, Isiaka Olawale has said that he and his teammates are fully-prepared to shock Kano Pillars when they clash in a Glo Nigeria Professional Football League week-37 tie behind a closed-door on Wednesday.
The Port-Harcourt side are expected to pose a major threat against the defending champions at the expected empty 25,000 capacity Confluence stadium, Lokoja.
The long-time serving skipper of the Nigeria Beach Soccer national team, Supersand Eagles, though admitted playing Pillars will be tough but boasted his side has enough quality to get the victory.
” I know we are going to have a very tough game against Pillars as both teams are among the best in the country – the camp is bubbling, the players are ready and in high spirit – I believe with the calibre of players we have, we should carry the day.”
Speaking on his visit to Lokoja, Olawale expressed delight at the quality of progress recorded by the kogi state government in terms of sports facilities and infrastructural development and advised the Governor Idris Wada led government to do well in area of maintenance.
Dolphins are currently sitting comfortably on the log with 50 points from 36 matches on 9th position while opponents, Kano Pillars are league leaders with 60 points after 36 games though both side with two matches left will hope to consolidate on their respective positions.
