Former Kwara United and Enyimba coach Kadiri Ikhana has been appointed head coach of Nasarawa United with task to rescue the Lafia boys from drop.
Coach Kadiri Ikhana has taken over affairs at Nasarawa United after previous embattled coach Alphonsus Dike was sacked for a string of poor results, goal.com has revealed.
The Lafia side started the season on a good note and was in the top seven before lost form in the second half of the season.
Presently they sit in at the bottom of the log with 33 points from 26 games.
The management of the club gave coach Dike led team a two-match ultimatum after a 1-1 draw at home to Warri Wolves where they failed to convert two penalty kicks.
Nasarawa lost at Kaduna United 1-2 and only barely scraped through Kwara United 2-1 last Sunday during period of the two game grace granted Dike and his back room staff.
Ikhana last try as a coach saw him lead the Super Falcons to a fourth place finish at the 2012 African Women Championship played in equatorial Guinea- their worst performance ever at the competition.
He has been instructed to return the Nasarawa United to winning ways.
Ikhana in the past said he was done with coaching in Nigeria when he left Sharks of Port Harcourt
