Gov Idris Wada submits 5 fresh Commissioner Nominees To Kogi Assembly

Kogi State Government has submitted five fresh commissioner nominees to the Kogi State House of Assembly for onward screening and approval.
In a statement to SavidNews.com, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi State Governor, Mr Richard Elesho said the list of five new commissioner designates was part of government’s efforts to strengthen his administration for optimum productivity.
The statement announced that the names of the nominees have been transmitted to the State House of Assembly.
According to Elesho, the names are Barikisu Begu Momoh, Godwin Ojodomo Onamah, Attah Ikani Sule, Yabagi Bologi and Stephen Tayo Aremu.
The statement also informed that two of the five nominees were recalled members of the previous State Executive Council (SEC) were unavoidably not available for screening during the last exercise, while the remaining three are fresh shortlisted commissioners.
SavidNews reports that 14 of 19 earlier shortlisted Commissioners have been sworn-in by the Kogi state governor, Capt Idris Wada on 25th August.
However, the Secretary to the Kogi State government, Professor Olugbemiro Jegede confirmed the
five commissioner nominees will be sworn-in at the next State Executive Council meeting.
