Gov Wada “A Dependable Brother” – President Jonathan
The Governor of Kogi state, Captain Idris Wada has been described as a “dependable brother” by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Mr. John Kennedy Opara made this known in Lokoja when he paid a courtesy call on the governor.
His words, “After my prayers with Mr. President this morning, I told him I was heading for Lokoja and Mr. President told me to greet you and added that you are his dependable brother”.
It would be recalled that only last week the Minister of health gave an award to Captain Idris Wada as the best performing Governor in North Central on Polio eradication.
Their commendations are coming on the heels of several others heaped on the governor from within and outside the state.
The Executive Secretary during the courtesy call had commended Captain Idris Wada on his numerous achievements starting from the welfare and salary of workers in the state saying that they have allotted 300 seats for the state to accompany Mr. President to Israel.
In his response, Captain Idris Wada said his government has been promoting religious tolerance in the state adding that pilgrimage has a lot of spiritual benefits.
He commended the Commission for its good work stressing that Kogi state will increase the number of sponsorship to Israel this year against that of last year.
