Governor’s House emerges Champions at St Charles’ Ankpa 2014 Inter-House Sports Competition

With 46 points, Governor’s house has emerged overall winners of the 2014 St. Charles’s college Ankpa, inter house sports competition.
Bishop House came second while Onu House came third at the keenly contested sports meets which came up at the college playing ground and was graced by important dignitaries.
Speaking at the occasion, the zonal director of Education Ankpa Mr. U.R. Adama commended the principal of the college Mr. Ignatius Alilu for his valuable contributions to the promotion of sporting activities in the state.
Adama who was also the chairman of the occasion commended the principal and the management of the school for organizing the competition which has showcased the talent of the students. He called on the commissioner for education to put in more efforts to institute sporting activities in all the education institutions in the state.
In his speech the principal of the school called on the old students of the institution and the state government to come to their aid saying some of their challenges include lack of sporting facilities, football pitch and other infrastructures.
The students of the governor’s house dedicated their victory to the Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada.
