GPL: FC Taraba pips El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in Jalingo

New entrants in the Nigeria Premier League, FC Taraba continued their good form at home after they dispatched El Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in the week three match played in Jalingo on Saturday.

El Kanemi came into the match with a very strong pedigree having narrowly missed the title last season and they began the match controlling the midfield and striving hard to get the first goal.

But the Coach Ndubuisi Nduka led boys held on to the onslaught till the end of the first half. The FC Taraba boys however came into the second half with renewed determination and vigour.

They then took the fight to the Maiduguri based team and the pressure paid off in the 35th minute when Iyorhe Lute scored the only goal of the match with a very good volley.

The boys from Jalingo now have six points from three matches to jump to the leadership of the league till others play their games on Sunday.
