Halima Wada launches Kogi Inter-School Chess Competition Season ii

Wife of Kogi Governor, Hajia Halima Wada has launched Kogi inter-school Chess competition starting from 29th April – May 6th, 2014.
The wife of the governor who was represented by the wife of the secretary to the State Government, Mrs Funke Jegede flag off the competition in Lokoja on Tuesday.
She said she is highly impressed at the turn out of schools at this seasons competition stating that seven primary schools and eight secondary schools would be represented in this year’s competition.
She enjoined more schools to turn out for the chess competition stating that it will boost the pupils alertness and intelligence.
She urged participating students to still pay more attention to their education even as they focus to succeed in the chess competition.
She commend the organizers for catching the students young in the game of chess, stating that the organizers to ensure more schools participate in the competition across the state.
