History As Aisha Binani Emerges Nigeria’s First Female Governor

Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani of the APC on Sunday made history by becoming the first woman to be elected a state governor in the Nigeria.

Binani was on Sunday declared winner of the governorship held in Adamawa State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Binani polled 409,909 to defeat her PDP closest rival who score 406,617.

It will be recalled that the same Adamawa State who produced first female Senator in the person of Senator Folasade Bent .
