‘I will be back home soon’ – Recuperating President Buhari Calls Kogi Governor

President Muhammadu Buhari has again expressed his appreciation of prayers from Nigerians for his quick recovery, assuring that he would soon be back in the country.

The President currently recuperating in London, was quoted in a statement by the Director-General, Media and Publicity to Kogi state governor, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, to have given the assurance when he spoke recently with the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on telephone.

During the brief interaction which had Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Umar Imam, some lawmakers and a few members of the state executive, the statement quoted the president to have thanked the governor and people of the state for their support.

Fanwo said: “While in Lagos, President Muhammadu Buhari called Governor Yahaya Bello and interacted with him for a couple of minutes. Governor Bello was in company of the Speaker, Kogi State House Of Assembly, a few other honourable members of the House, honourable commissioners and other top government functionaries.

“The President thanked the Governor for his support and his leadership qualities. He told the governor that he is observing rest and will return very soon to continue his assignment of providing purposeful leadership for the nation.”
The governor, Fanwo continued , had earlier been joined at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Lokoja, by both the Muslim and Christian faithful , at a prayer session for the quick recovery and return of the president to the country.
