Ifeanyi Uba FC progressed into the final of the Nigeria National League Super Four tournament following a 4-3 victory via penalty in Monday’s semi-final match played at the Kwara Township Stadium.

The Anaedo boys played out a 1-1 score draw at the end of the regulation time to secure their impressive win courtesy of their impressive goalkeeper Eze Chidiebere during the penalty shoot out at the expense of the Bauchi outfit.

Wikki Tourists showed plenty of ambitions to win from the blast of the whistle but luck for a breakthrough eluded them after they had a penalty appeal overlooked.

Chidiebere’s discipline and clinical saves kept the Nnewi outfit in the mix for glory thanks to his double classy saves from the Abdul Maikaba’s men.

It was Ohamu Michael’s opener after several missed chances that fired Ifeanyi Uba in front on the stroke of half time.

However, it was in the final two minutes that Wikki Tourists’ substitute Alaba Johnson masterminded a leveller for the Maikaba’s side and thereafter ensured the game was decided on penalties.

The victory will see Ifeanyi Uba FC face Shooting Stars in the final immediately after Wikki Tourists settle the third place match with Kwara United on Wednesday.
