INEC 2015: Massive turn-out in Lokoja for Permanent Voters Card

Massive turn out in Lokoja as residents pour our in their numbers to the various polling units for ongoing permanent voters card’s collection and registration exercise, SavidNews can report.

SavidNews toured some Collection points in Lokoja on Friday, among was he Crowther memorial College Polling unit where activities were seen to have started, according to the INEC official at the unit said they have about 2,200 registered voters at the unit.

He said the criteria for collection of the permanent voters card was to bring the temporary card for identification.

He said over 50 persons have collected their permanent cards this morning.

One Mr Shogo Obafaiye who came to collect his voters card, testified to SavidNews that so far the exercise was going smoothly, noting that there was adequate security and everything was orderly.

In same vien, Mrs Mariam Yusuf, also confirmed that she had collected her permanent voters card, notified that the exercise was overwhelming.

At Cinema polling units where voters came all out in mass to collect their permanent voters cards, SavidNews monitored.

According to Mr Banji Adegoke,said the exercise was splendid,he said that the officials came on time and there was no problem at all.

Ms Deborah Abana,said she had collected her voters card and she was happy about it.

She commended INEC for the prompt arrangements and orderly manner they have conducted the exercise.

At the Holy trinity polling unit,a large crowd of voters were on ground to collect their permanent voters card.

Mrs Ohiza Suleiman,noted that the exercise was a perfect arrangement made by INEC,he commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

She urged politicians to be law abiding and shun violent activities in the state.
