Sole administrator of Bendel Insurance, Austin Eguaveon says he is satisfied with the friendly match against Nigeria’s confederation cup representatives Warri wolves.
He made this statement immediately after the highly rated friendly played at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium which ended in a stalement considering the pedigree of his opponent.
“I think we are improving every day we must give it to Warri wolves they were more matured, its expected of them because they played in the federation cup final last year and going to the continent right now to fly Nigeria’s flag we have to give it to them. We are happy with the result we still have a lot to improve on I strongly believe that the boys have all what it takes to improve”.
Cerezo as fondly called, adds that goal scoring remains the challenge the team has but promised to work on it before their next NNL match against Prime FC of Oshogbo.
Also speaking, Paul Aigbogun coach of Warri wolves said that the friendly between his team and insurance was meant to put his team in the right frame of mind since their first match is an away game to Cameroun
“You know our first continental game is away from home so we came here with a team structured to play away from home, we were a bit unfortunate that we could not sneak a goal but we came here with a game plan just to try and hold the team and just be patient”
Paul posited that his team will do their best and ensure that they get a descent result when they travel to Cameroun.
“We are going there to do our best and try and make everybody proud no matter what we will give a 100%.”
Coach Paul Aigbogun however maintained that his team needs to improve on the coming days especially now that the league has been postponed.
He however wished that the league has started before their continental game and further advised the LMC to put their house in order to ensure a smooth sail of the League.
He praised Insurance for putting a spectacular performance and urged them not to relent in their quest to gain promotion
“Insurance is a good team we have come here to play them on several occasions and they have always given good run for our money.”
