Mikel Agu says ‘it’s a great feeling’ after finding the net in Bursaspor’s 4-0 hammering of Antalyaspor in Turkish Super Lig game on Sunday.
The 24-year-old netted his side’s opener before Aziz Behich, Jires Ekoko and Pablo Batalla completed the riot of 10-man Arajuo Leonardo’s men at the Bursa Buyuksehir Belediye Stadium.
The Super Eagles midfielder, who is establishing himself in Paul le Guen’s side, has scored twice in 10 appearances this season since he joined on loan from FC Porto in July.
“I’m very happy to score for my team [against Antalyaspor]. It’s always a great feeling to score,” Agu told Goal.
“I’m really glad I was able to score another goal because last season I played 35 games without a goal for my former team. I want to remain focused and establish myself more in the team.
“Getting to score again is giving me a lot of confidence and desire to keep fighting. With two goals already, I will not relent but will surely continue to give my best in every game,” he concluded.
Agu will be hoping to build in his impressive form when the Green Crocodiles visit Kenneth Omeruo’s Kasimpasa on Saturday, November 4.
