After the plenary, Faleke attended the inaugural meeting of the House Committee on Customs and Excise.

He however directed the Deputy Chairman of the committee, Honourable Hamed Chachangi, to preside over the proceedings, saying that he decided to attend the inaugural meeting as a sign of solidarity with his colleagues.
