Jamilu Collins want to play for Nigeria, Seek Flying Eagles call-up

Nigeria born defender Jamilu Collins making waves at Croatian league first division side HNK Rijeks has revealed quest to play for Nigeria.

The former Abuja College of Football Academy player said he turned down opportunities to play for Croatia in favour of his fatherland, Nigeria.

“The Croatia Football Association want me to play for their national team but I refuse.

“I have all it take to play for National under 20 of my country Nigeria. I am begging coach Manu Garba to give me a chance in his team and am ready to prove my worth,” said the Kaduna born player has been scoring goals from the leftfull back for his team.

“I love my country Nigeria and I did not want to play for other country,” he said.

The 18-year old defender, is one of the product of Abuja Football College and spent one season in Croatia on loan to Pomorac Kostoena.
