President Goodluck Jonathan has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada, and the government and people of the state on the death of the governor’s father, Wada Ejiga, at the age of 107.
A statement by the president’s spokesperson, Reuben Abati, said Mr. Jonathan described the late centenarian as a worthy son of Kogi State who contributed in no small measure to the educational development of Igalaland in particular and the state in general.
The President enjoined the bereaved family and the people of Kogi State to take solace in the knowledge that late Mr. Ejiga lived a very happy and fulfilled life as a community leader and a devoted father.
He prayed that God Almighty would comfort the bereaved family members, their friends and well-wishers and grant the soul of the departed peaceful rest.
