Kabiru stings FC Lokoja for Bayelsa United, Ladan Bosso Lauds LMC

The CAF Confederation Cup campaigners led by Coach Ladan Bosso found themselves in front in the 5minutes thanks to the former Kwara United star Kabiru Sanusi who converted the early chance from a goal mouth scramble.
Despite ending to first half in front, FC Lokoja sought after a leveller which though eluded them dominated the second half and played deep in most period but its attackers failed to find their scoring boots as they fired wide all their chances at regulation time.
Speaking after the game, head coach of Bayelsa United, Ladan Bosso applauded the performance displayed by his team as well as that of the opponent, Lokoja FC.
He while revealing his satisfaction with the performance of both teams, expressed delight on the opportunity to test his new recruits and promised to ensure a formidable team before the start of the new season billed for February 23.
“I am happy with the game, the Lokoja boys gave us a good fight and competitive test match – the game really helped me to assess our fresh legs as I have been able to see all our new players.”
The former Nigeria U-17 coach singled out the League Management Committee for praises after managing to stage a hitch-free league season and insisted they deserved a longer tenure as they have record massive improvement in the league.
He also declared the Yenegoa boys are battle ready for all-comers as they target winning the Super Four tournament in Abuja.
“I must give it to them; the LMC did so well last season and for me I support them to remain in charge as they are operating independently unlike the Club owners that will attract lot of interests and bias.”
“For the Super Four tournament, we are prepared– the reason why we came to Lokoja looking at the weather, stadium standard and personally a home – we shall despite for Abuja on Thursday for the competition,” the former Wiiki Tourist tactician stated.
