Kadiri Ikhana named Shooting Stars’ new technical adviser

Shooting Stars has confirmed the appointment of Kadiri Ikhana as its new technical adviser ahead of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Ikhana will replace former handler Gbenga Ogunbote who left the Oluyole Warriors to join Giwa FC of Jos.

Ikhana parted ways with Enyimba after he led the People’s Elephants to winning a record seventh league title last season.

The team’s media officer, Arowolo Jubril confirmed that the appointment of Ikhana as new technical adviser takes immeidate effect.

According to Jubril, the management has given the former Enyimba tactician the freedom to appoint his assistant coach.

While former 3SC assistant coach Oloyede Akinde was repolyed to the Sports Minister, the coaching duo of Bright Omokaro and Lati Yussuf have been appointed to work with Ikhana.

“Confirmed! 3SC appoints Kadiri Ikhana as technical adviser,” the media officer announced.

“He (Ikhana) resumes with immediate effect after being picked ahead others. He is allow to come with an assistant.

“Bright Omokaro, Lati Yussuf are appointed to work with him, while assistant coach Oloyede Akinde returns to Sports Ministry,” he concluded.

After finishing in ninth position last season, 3SC will begin their new season campaign at home against Lobi Stars in Ibadan on February 21.
