Kano Pillars demolished Abia Warriors 5-0 in their Nigeria Professional Football League match at the Sani Abacha Stadium Stadium, in Kano, on Sunday afternoon.

The massive result helped Pillars improve their points haul to 36 points as they strengthened their bid to win the league title.

10 minutes into the game in Kano, Rabiu Ali was on hand to deposit the ball into the back of the net from the penalty spot for a 1-0 lead.

Pillars had their second with 44 minutes gone.

The Abia Warriors defence were caught napping and Razaq Adegbite showed great composure to score his first goal in the colours of Pillars.

Bala Zakka was too motivated to miss as he made it 3-0 to Pillars in the 45th minute.

It was 4-0 to Pillars in the 81st minute as Abia Warriors were left in tatters.

The pass came in from Gambo Mohammed for Ali who produced a good strike to find the back of the net.

In the 90th minute, the massacre was complete as Pillars smashed in their fifth with Nafiu Kabuga the scorer.
