Okene United defeated KSU FC 6-5 in penalty shoot out after played out a 2-2 draw at full time at Confluence Stadium, Lokoja in the opening match of the Kogi State 2014 Federation Cup on Monday.
The Kogi central based club outmuscled their Eastern opponents as they came from behind twice to secure a stalemate at full time, later squezzed through in the penalty shoot out.

However, Okene United after advancing past KSU to the next round have been rewarded with a semi-final clash with defending champions and Nigeria National League side Kogi United on Wednesday April 23rd in the ongoing Kogi state’s 2014 Federation Cup.
