The congresses were conducted in Kogi State on June 27.

PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh, in Abuja, on Wednesday, explained that the cancellation followed a review of the reports of the congress committee and appeal committee in respect of the exercise.

He said the involvement of “local organising committee” which it said was unknown to the constitution of the party and the guidelines marred the congresses.

“Consequently, new three-man adhoc delegates ward congresses, would commence on July 14 2015,” he said.
