Kogi: Basketball President Seeks More FG Funding For Talent Discovery

The Nigeria Basketball Federation has called for more funding to enable it to discover new talents.
The President of the federation, Tijani Umar, said in Okene, Kogi State during the Ajanah basketball competition among the 21 local governments in the state, that more funding would help the body empower youths.
The tournament sponsored by the Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasiru Ajanah, has helped the country discover talents over the years.
The NBBF boss, who said basketball had improved in Nigeria, noted that since the London Olympics , the game had been waxing stronger in the country. Umar appealed to the Federal Government to give attention to the sport.
