Kogi First Lady Hails Idah Group on Unity
Wife of kogi governor Hajia Halima Wada commend Udama Chukpghiu (unity is strength) women group association for their dogged supports to the development of Kogi.
She commended the women group at the fund raising ceremony organized by the women at Idah local government area on Monday in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.
She said she appreciates the group for their support and corporation to the present administration.
She assured the group her support and partnership on any of their activities that will help move the state towards development and
growth stating tat women cannot be over emphasized in any administration.
She promised to support the group and carry the group along with her pet project Kogi women empowerment network (KOWEN) in order to empower the women group stating that “empowering women is empowering a family”.
She urges the women group not to relent in their selfless effort and that effort is recognized and valued as the present government is poised to transform their lives generally.
In a remark the house of assembly representing Idah constituency Hon. Harunna Musa commended the women group for being a strong pillar in the state to the people’s Democratic Party lead administration in the state and country at large.
He commended the governor’s wife for honoring the women by attending their fund raising ceremony and prayed that god reward her abundantly.
Speaking at the occasion the chairperson Udama-Chupahiu women group Hajia Eke Harunna said the purpose of the meeting is to raise fund for the enhancement of the activities of the group.
She appealed to the wife of the governor to support the group and carry them along in her administration as they are fully in support of her administration.
