Kogi First Lady Pays Attah Igala Homage

Wife of Kogi governor Hajia Halima Wada has congratulated the Attah of Igala Idakwo Ameh for his successful ascention of office and coronation that took place recently.

She stated this at the Attah’s kingdom on Monday in Idah when he paid the Attah an homage visit as a daughter of the soil. She prayed that the almighty God grant the Attah peaceful reign and a long tenure to actualize his dream for the Igala people, Kogi state and mankind in general.

She used the opportunity to express her heartfelt condolence on the sad demise of the Attah’s younger brother prince Aroma Ameh recently, praying that may God grant his majesty and the family the fortitude to bear the inevitable loss.

She used the occasion to appreciate his majesty on behalf of her family for recognizing her mother Mrs. Awawo Adama to be confirmed with the chieftaincy title “OMIA KELE ATTAH” recently.

She solicited for his majesty’s royal supports and the wife’s advice in governing the affairs of the state so as to move the state forward. Responding the Attah of Igala stated that he is overwhelmed on the first lady’s pet project, Kogi Women Empowerment Net Work (KOWEN) in the state in empowering the women in the state, and commended her on behalf of the women in the state.

He said he would on his part embark on forestation of Igala land starting from Idah to later extend to other parts in the state to avoid climatic degradation in the state.

He said six hundred trees have already been planted and that he plans to plant more He commended the governor of the state for his key role and the part he played in making sure he is enthroned and coroneted as the Attah of Igala land. He urged the people of Igala to ensure unity so that Igala kingdom stands unique among other kingdoms in the country.

Highlight of the occasion is the royal majesty’s prayer and blessings on the first lady of the state Hajia Halima Wada.
