Kogi Govt inaugurates Alape crop processing zone

Kogi Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi has said that Gov Idris Wada was ready to inaugurate the Alape processing zone.

Awoniyi,who disclosed this at Alape the location of the processing zone in Kabba/Bunu local government area of the state.

Awoniyi, noted that he was satisfied with the arrangement put in place to receive the delegation from KAGIL the major investors for the project and the federal government.

He said the crop processing zone would provide employment for the state’s teeming youths and create agro allied industries among other benefits to the state.

Awoniyi,said the choice of investing in Kogi State by KAGIL was most desirable in view of the state’s comparative advantage in the production of cassava.

The Deputy Governor assured that the state government would strive towards ensuring that the enabling environment was given for the success of the processing zone.

He desscribed tomorrow’s inauguration as the best thing that has happened to the state in recent times,while calling on the community to be part of the program.

Earlier in his remarks the Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government,Mr Funsho Olorunfemi said the Alape community was agog with the planned inauguration.

He commended the state government for creating the enabling environment and for its choice of the community.
