Kogi NUT boss laud Gov Wada on E-payment for teachers

The chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Comrade Suleiman Abdulahi commend the state government for the introduction of E-payment for teachers Salary in the state.

The Chairman stated on Friday that the E-payment will help to check mate the proliferation of the teachers salary by LGEA officials in the state and that teachers will hence forth receive commensurate salaries all over the state.

He said the unions official recently held a meeting with the state government and that he has the confidence that the state government will comply at the end of march with all agreement signed with the union.

He said the agreement include the full implementation of minimum wage, payment of three years leave grant and a cash backing of three years promotions.

He urges SUBEB to sanction officers causing unnecessary delays in the payment.

He calls on teachers in the state to continue to maintain patience as usual assuring them that the state government would take the path of honour by complying with the agreement.

He said the state NUT has sent situation report on the implementation of the minimum wage and other issues to the national office of NUT which would give directives on the next line of action if the agreement reached is not complied with at the end of the month.

While he congratulated the state Governor on his supreme court victory said the court verdict is a victory for democracy and urges the Governor to focus more attention on his developmental initiatives
