Kogi Speaker, Jimoh Lawal urges Yahaya Bello to build on legacy of past regimes

Embattled Speaker of Kogi House of Assembly, Alhaji Momoh-Jimoh Lawal on Tuesday urged in-coming governor Yahaya Bello to see his election as a divine call to service of the diverse the people of the State.
Lawal also called on Bello, who is billed to be sworn-in as governor on Wednesday, to build on legacies of past administrations and work for the continued peace, progress and overall development of the state.
Lawal made the call in a congratulatory message to the governor signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Felix Udebu and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
He also urged Bello to work for a peaceful, prosperous and result-oriented tenure in office, adding “I am optimistic that Bello would succeed in his desire to lift the state to greater height.’’
He urged Bello to work with the fear of God in his mind through all his engagements and prayed God to grant him divine guidance and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
