Kogi Students, SUG Pledge More Support To Gov Bello Over Bus, Cash Donations

The National Association of Kogi State Students, NAKOSS has expressed its sincere gratitude to the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his magnanimity and benevolence towards the students of Kogi state.
The Governor who recently surprised the students by donating two brand new buses (for NAKOSS and SUG) in place N1, 500, 000 to repair the body’s damaged vehicle as requested by the association.
The Governor also added a Peugeot 407 for effective mobility and smooth running of the NAKOSS’ activities and supported both the NAKOSS and SUG in the higher institutions within the State with the sum N3, 000, 000.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, on Youth Empowerment, Sports and Student Affairs, Comrade M. D. Eseyin, on behalf of the students, the students described the instant response of the governor as a feat that is unprecedented since the creation of the State.
Comrade Eseyin said, “the governor understands the demands of his immediate constituency and his living up to his creed by ensuring that all the student bodies, resident in the State, both NAKOSS and SUG, are on a monthly stipend.”
“All these have been achieved within 6 months of His Excellency’s assumption to governance. This is unmatched and its one of those many strides that epitomises the reality that is enshrined in the New Direction of Governor Bello.”
He also commended the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja, for his diligence, resourcefulness and guide that have been beneficial to the Students of Kogi State thus far.
Comrade Eseyin therefore admonished the students to greatly reciprocate the resounding gesture accorded them by the Governor with unflinching support, loyalty and more commitment to their education.
He advised them to shun crime, cultism, imbibed and cultivate the spirit of seriousness to their academics, as nothing can compensate the Governor’s benevolence aside academic excellence.
