Top management teams and decision makers in all commercial banks in Lokoja have embarked on an indefinite strike on Tuesday.

The decision was made after a closed door-meeting to sympathize with civil servants who have not been paid salaries.

They alleged that government has imposed strict rules that do not conform with civil service guidelines and regulations.

They said one of the imposed rules is asking them to all open an account with two selected commercial banks.

They said workers who have collected loans with other banks are going to suffer because they will not be able to service their loans amongst others.
