The Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada revealed this known while inspecting road which is under construction.
According to him, his administration is working very hard to ensure early completion of ongoing projects in the state to enable them provide the needed services to the people.
He mentioned that Work on the sixteen kilometer Otokiti-Ganaja dual carriage way bye pass began early this year stressing that his administration embark on the project to reduce traffic congestion in Lokoja township particularly Ganaja-junction due to its strategic location.
The Governor opined that road development is a cardinal programme of his administration in view of its socio- economic benefits.
While addressing the contractor to sustain the quality and pace of the project, the Governor commended the Ministry of Works for effective supervision.
While speaking, the State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Godwin Onama told the governor that work on the project is progressing steadily adding that the project is expected to be completed in 18 months.
