KogiKogi APC Crisis: Youth Begs Abubakar Audu, James Ocholi to close ranks
The APC Youth Frontier has appealed to the warring leaders of the party, Chief James Ocholi, SAN and Prince Abubakar Audu to close ranks in the overall interest of the party as the crisis carpeting the Kogi State Chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) overwhelms many.
The National Coordinator of APC Youth Frontier, Comrade Usman Okai Austin Francis, made the appeal in a telephone chat with new media, Kogireports.com.
Comrade Austin wondered why the two leaders are more concerned about who gets what so early in the life of the party. “We should be focused on mobilizing the good people of Kogi State to come out enmasse and register as members of our great party.
The task ahead, to unseat the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), is enormous and requires concerted efforts and well crafted strategy to achieve this. We cannot afford to be divided! ”, he said.
“We wish to appeal to Prince Audu and Chief Ocholi to bury their differences and come up with a strong, solid and viable party structure that will unseat the current occupant of Lugard House in Lokoja. We dissociate ourselves as youths from the so-called ‘Ocholi Faction’ and ‘Audu Faction’”.
Comrade Austin also called on the party leaders to leave slots within the party leadership positions for youths insisting that youths must not be looked down upon.
He expressed confidence that APC will sweep out PDP in Kogi State and Nigeria come 2015.
