Kwara Urges U16 Table Tennis Stars to Remain Focus for World Championship

Kwara State Athletes that participated at the just concluded Under Sixteen National Table Tennis League have been charged to buckle up for the challenges ahead and qualify for the World Table Tennis Championship coming up next month in Lagos.

The State Director of Sports, Coach Tunde Kazeem gave the charge today in Ilorin while receiving the Athletes, the Kwara Falcons Basketball Team and outing Corpers that served in the Council.

Coach Kazeem commended the Table Tennis players for their performances urging them not to relent.

Three Kwara State players have been invited to participate in the final selection for the World Championship holding in Lagos from the twenty second of next month.

They are Shukurat Aiyelabegan that came first at the League, Rofiat Jimoh came second while Falana Iyanu-Oluwa clinched the fifth position.

Turning to the basketball players, Coach Kazeem charged them to keep the clear record and praised the State government for its moral and financial support to the team.

The Director also commended the outgoing Corpers members for their dedication advising them to be good ambassadors of the Nation.
