Kwesi feels Justified over Nigeria U17 Over-age Claims

Ghana U17 coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has admitted his claims have been justified following news that many Nigeria U17 players have failed age tests. golden eaglets-u-17

Nigeria have been forced to revamp their squad for the FIFA U17 World Cup in UAE this October.

Fabin complained bitterly about the ages of the Golden Eaglets who thumped the Black Starlets 6-1 at the African Championship in Morocco.

The former Heart of Lions coach had his tactics questioned after that embarrassing defeat but now says his critics were wrong.

“I’m not surprised because I have worked as a youth coach for a very long time and when I saw the Nigerian team at the tournament, they were too old for the U17 age limit,” Fabin has been quoted by Joy FM.

“This shows that CAF has not been truthful to us and the MRI Scan they conducted on the Nigerian team before the tournament in Morocco was a fallacy.

“The guys we saw at the tournament were too old and I’m not shocked at all.”

Nigeria were runners-up at the African Championship in Morocco while Ghana failed to progress from the Group stage.
