Lagosians appreciate ABS attractive football over Stores

Football Fans in the city of Excellence, Lagos at the weekend praised the pattern of play displayed by the Abubakar Bukola Saraki football team from the ancient city of Ilorin kwara state who were guest to Stationery Stores of Lagos at the Onikan Stadium water front.
In what was described as the best brand of football witnessed in recent years in the Nigeria football organized league, the Saraki boys gave the thousands of fans who trooped to the stadium a special weekend entertainment.
The Ilorin side took over the game from the blast of the whistle and dictated the pace of the game all through the first stanza and was rewarded with a 22 mins strike by Samuel Oyedeji Dada who stucked in a fling after a through pass from former kwara football Academy midfielder Emeka Godwin.
The goal was the needed tonic by the young lads as they completely over ran their host stationery stores and made them ordinary passengers on the field of play, the first half ended 0-1 in favour of the visiting Bukola Saraki boys.
On resumption of the second half, the Flamings as stores are known fought back harder but all their efforts were thwarted by a solid defence mounted by the coach Yomi Elijah led team from Ilorin, marshalled by defensive machine Ajannah Chinedu.
Despite all the pressures from the home team and the shouts of threats from the home supporters, the ABS side kept full control of the game with superlative passes and good marksmanship, just as Lagos fans and Stationery stores supporters turned their supports in favour of the ABS boys.
The centre Referee from Ondo State stood upright throughout the 90mins with decent calls and free, fair and firm officiating, just as fans kept hailing ABS boys amidst tight security at the stadium.
Most of the fans who spoke after the match praised the Saraki boys and tipped them for promotion, they also called for more of their games in Lagos even after the season. A senior sports journalist Toyin Ibitoye of Channels TV said ABS brand of football is typical of Barca,even as he tipped Defender Chinedu Ajannah for the National team.
ABS FC is presently third on the NNL group B TABLE with 11 points from 7 matches and will face Go-Round Fc this weekend in Ilorin.
