LMC gets NPFL season extension
The League Management Company (LMC) led by Nduka Irabor will run the league for one more season, the NFF have announced.
According to a communique issued at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Annual General Assembly, the extension of the members of the League Management Company for one additional Season 2013/2014 Premier League Season has been approved.
This is against the wish of the club managers who have demanded for elections to the league board.
The NFF congress also approved the promotion and relegation of teams as presented by the various Leagues: Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL); Nigeria National League (NNL); Nigeria Women League; and Nigeria Nationwide League.
This has dealt a major blow to the bid by Plateau United to return to the Nigeria top flight.
