The League Management Company has rescheduled Sunday’s Week 34 matches to October 21 owing to the upcoming CAF Championship for African Nations qualifying tie between Nigeria versus Burkina Faso.
The home-based Super Eagles, which feature domestic league players in Africa hosts Burkina Faso at the Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
In a statement on Wednesday, the LMC explained that the CHAN qualifying tie between Nigeria and Burkina Faso that has been fixed for the same day as the Week 34 games.
According to the LMC’s Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar, a notice has been sent to all the 20 Clubs of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
In the notice, Abubakar said, “please be informed that all fixtures for Match Day 34 has been rescheduled due to the CHAN Qualification match between the Nigeria (Super Eagles) and Burkina Faso in Port Harcourt on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
“This is to allow clubs with players in the CHAN team have full complement of their services for the matches of the Glo Premier League,” the Abubakar said.
Abubakar also confirmed that all ten fixtures are billed to kick-off at 4pm in various centers in the country on the rescheduled date.
