Mali names Henry Kasperzack as national team coach

The Polish-born French coach, Henry Kasperzack, has been named the coach of the Malian national football team, Mali’s Football Federation (FEMAFOOT) announced here, saying his renewable contract will last 15 months.

Kasperzack had earlier coached Mali from 2001 to 2002, taking them to the semi finals of the 2002 African Cup of Nations which Mali hosted.

Under the new contract, Kasperzack is tasked to take Mali to the next African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Kasperzack has a wide experience with African teams, having managed Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Senegal and Morocco.

He was named best French coach in 1990 when he was at the head of the French league team Racing Club.
