Mandela Challenge: Nigeria victory well deserved – Igesund

Coach of South Africa national team Gordon Igesund has admitted Nigeria were the better side in the 2013 Mandela Challenge played on Wednesday in Durban.

The Bafana Bafana tactician revealed this to Super Sports following his side 2-0 lost to the African Champions.

According to Igesund, “we played against a very good team tonight – Nigeria derserves the victory because they are better than us.

“We are getting it well and have learnt a lot with lot of young players and we need to keep improving on our quality majorly in keeping the ball and taking out chances,” he added.

The loss for South Africa means they have lost sixes Friendly matches in last seven despite winning in 2004.
