Mandela Challenge: Super Eagles depart for SA on Sunday

Officials and home-based players of the Super Eagles will depart for Durban on Sunday for the Nelson Mandela Challenge encounter against Bafana Bafana.

The game, which is scheduled for August 14 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, is being played in honour of Nelson Mandela, as part of activities to mark his 95th birthday.

According to a report on The Guardian, the home-based players will leave with the technical crew and NFF officials on Sunday, while the foreign-based players are expected to arrive on Monday latest.

Established first-team players like Sunday Mba, Godfrey Oboabona, Chigozie Agbim and Azubuike Egwuekwe are expected to make the trip, along with three standby players: Solomon Kwambe, Benjamin Francis and Muhammed Gambo.

Of interest to most fans however, is the return of Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike to the national team.
